Little Sluggers!

The boys particapted in a week long session of Little Sluggers at the Westerville Rec Center.  I think we have future all stars on ours hands.

4th of July!

This 4th of July was scorcher! It was filled with fireworks, swimming, food and family. We 'watched' fireworks in Mount Vernon at my sister's friend house.  Charlie & Keegan spent the fireworks show in the truck watching a movie.  Charlie only wanted to 'see' the fireworks NOT hear them.  We wrapped up the 4th with lots of swimming!

The Great Blackout of 2012

A huge thunderstorm ripped through Ohio last Friday with winds up to 85 mph.  The news is indicating that that is faster than hurricane winds & there was over 300,000 people without power in central Ohio alone.

The storm hit about 4:45 pm and we immediately lost power.  I lasted about an hour & was texting friends & family to see if anyone had power & AC.  By the way it has been in the 90's with heat index into the hundreds for over 10 days!  Chaos!  Luckily my uncles Bob & Herb had power in Hilliard.  We drove over & the great sleepover 2012 began.

Around 11 pm my sister's & family showed up as well! Luckily we got power back a couple days later but it took 5 days for my mom & sister power to come back on - just in time for a 4th of July swim!

Happy Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day!  We went to Mount Vernon to swim & woke up to homemade breakfast made by Nana.  The boys made wonderful picture frames at pre-school & their teachers took picutes of the K& C eariler in the year.

 

Annual Allergy Test

Keegan was a trooper at his annual blood draw for his allergy test.  Dan of course had to take him as I am a wimp.  We are praying that the test will show he has outgrown his tree nut allergy.  Too bad our appointment with doctor is not until July 29th :(  We will keep everyone posted!
